We pride ourselves on promoting talent when we see it, and work with each professional to define what success means for them.” Your primary responsibilities will include: Assist in preparing client accounting records, financial statements, corporate and personal income tax returns Draft and review financial statements Prepare T1's, T4s, T5s, GST and other compliance returns Prepare individual and corporate tax returns Prepare corporate client financial statements (Audit, Review and Compilations) Make updates using the client’s accounting software, including posting to general ledgers, reconciling accounts and reviewing reports Collaborate with peers and management on file planning and completion, ensuring that time requirements are met Provide personal, attentive service to clients, encouraging productive working relationships A successful candidate will have: Designated CPA or working towards 3-5 years prior tax season experience (minimum) 3-5 years public practice accounting experience (minimum) Experience in owner managed business ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise) Experience is a must Entrepreneurial mindset with commitment to client service and teamwork Strong desire and dedication to work, learn, and thrive in a fast passed, innovative, and dynamic environment Excellent communication and analytical skills Self-motivation and a strong work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills What you bring to the table: Collaborative, curious and innovative mindset Commitment to excellence with a people centered mentality Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve client issues Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong work ethic and attention to detail What's in it for you?
