Infiltrator Water Technologies is a market leader within the onsite wastewater treatment industry, Infiltrator manufactures a variety of revolutionary products and innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional stone and pipe leachfield and concrete septic wastewater system components. We sell our products through wholesale distribution across the United States and Canada for use on properties with onsite wastewater treatment systems.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform and manage daily accounting processes for month end closing, assuring the integrity of accounting data as well as adhering to generally accepted accounting principles. This position will depend upon financial systems and application expertise, analytical skills, communicating effectively, prioritizing workload, and taking initiative.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Four to five years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Three or more years’ experience working under a Corporate Controller Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager.
  • Experience with Great Plains and/or JD Edwards software system a plus.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products
  • Must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements, be a self-starter, and effectively interact and communicate across multiple functions within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.
  • Adjusts to priority changes with little notice and to remains calm during confrontational or high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and follow through in problem solving and decision making processes.
  • Must be willing and able to travel. Must be able to comply with current travel regulations and guidelines of airlines and destination locations.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain Orenco’s approved driver criteria; a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, current insurance on personal vehicle, and meet company insurability requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular job duties include seeing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, legible handwriting, keyboarding, prolonged periods of sitting including extended time viewing a computer screen. Intermittent physical activity includes but is not limited to touching, holding, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders and below knees, low back bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, crawling, stooping, squatting. standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders. Unassisted light lifting and/or carrying of under 20 lbs. is required. May also include occasional unassisted lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 lbs., lifting and/or carrying over 50 lbs. must be assisted. Operation of a motor vehicle and/or airplane travel may be required. Travel needs are determined by the department supervisory staff based on business need, required skill base, and assigned job tasks and responsibilities. Travel may require the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations

Responsibilities

> CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year financial close cycle, including preparing various journal entries.
  • Manage monthly financial reporting including balance sheet analytics, cashflow statement, capital expenditures.
  • Prepare, oversee and reconcile various balance sheet reconciliations within Blackline system in accordance with company policy and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance.
  • Manage Prepaid expenses, other assets, and accrued liabilities.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external auditor requests (quarterly/annual).
  • Ensure company compliance with Sales & Use and property tax requirements.
  • Support various accounting projects to help optimize process efficiencies.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
