WHAT YOU WILL DO As Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for executing key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies. This role plays a critical part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and compliance efforts, supporting the broader goals of the finance and accounting team. This is a full-time, hybrid role. Prepare and post journal entries for recurring and non-recurring transactions. Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper capitalization and depreciation. Support balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations and variance analysis. Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and US GAAP. Support internal control initiatives and assist in documentation of accounting procedures. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries during internal and external audits. Assist with tax filings and compliance, including sales/use tax, property tax, and business license renewals. Collaborate with payroll and treasury teams to ensure accurate payroll accounting and cash management reporting. Support cash forecasting and banking activities as needed. Participate in system upgrades and process improvement initiatives. Provide input on accounting system functionality and reporting enhancements. Exercise discretion and judgment in performance of duties as Senior Staff Accountant WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field CPA or CPA track preferred 4+ years’ accounting experience Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting standards Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel · Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines Ability to interact professionally with others while maintaining internal controls of the organization Strong verbal and written communication skills WHAT YOU WILL GET Commission or bonuses based on personal and company performance 50% tuition reimbursement for up to three children and/or one grandchild at any Primrose School Full-time team members are eligible for health, dental and vision insurance 401k with company matching up to 3.5% and company provided life insurance Employee Assistance Program
