Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Lead cost accounting functions including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.
  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including cycle counts, inventory valuation, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and improve financial performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities with detailed cost and inventory insights.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in audit preparation and execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
