We’re adding a Senior Staff Data Scientist to our team to help inform the future of Webflow with data by building a deep understanding of how our customers create for the web with our product. You’ll partner directly with key product stakeholders to identify interesting business questions and provide the data and quantitative analysis to answer them, leading the development of KPIs and helping teams understand how to improve our user experience. About the role: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada) Full-time Permanent Exempt The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills. United States (all figures cited below are in USD and pertain to workers in the United States) Zone A: $200,200 - $288,500 Zone B: $188,400 - $271,600 Zone C: $176,500 - $254,300 Canada (all figures cited below are in CAD and pertain to workers in the Canada) Zone A: $228,400 - $328,500 This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program. Target amounts are a percentage of base salary and vary by career level. Payouts are based on company performance against established financial and operational goals. Reporting to the VP, Data and Insights As a Senior Staff Data Scientist you’ll: Drive Data Strategy at Company Scale: Define and lead Webflow’s long-term data strategy, ensuring that insights, experimentation, and measurement frameworks that meaningfully influence company-wide priorities and executive decision-making. Architect Data-Informed Product Direction: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and User Research to identify and prioritize opportunities where data can unlock step-function improvements in user experience, growth, and business outcomes. Evolve Metrics and Measurement Systems: Establish, standardize, and continuously refine product and business metrics that represent Webflow’s success — ensuring they reflect a deep understanding of customer behavior and long-term value creation. Advance Experimentation and Causal Inference Practices: Lead Webflow’s experimentation strategy by mentoring teams on sophisticated experimental design, causal inference, and Bayesian modeling approaches. Set best-in-class standards for measuring product impact and scaling learnings across the organization. Mentor and Grow Data Talent: Serve as a technical and strategic mentor to Data Scientists across levels. Provide guidance on analytical rigor, experimentation design, storytelling with data, and career development. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence across the broader Data organization. Build the Next Generation of Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with Data Engineering and platform teams to strengthen Webflow’s data foundations — ensuring scalable, high-quality systems that provide a holistic view of the customer journey and business performance. About you: Requirements: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience You’ll thrive as a Staff Data Scientist if you: Have 8+ years of experience in a Data Science (or similar) position Have interest and experience in mentoring and developing the technical skills of your team members, helping to build a collaborative data science practice Have demonstrated experience working as a Data Scientist (or the equivalent in quantitative analysis), contributing to the strategic roadmap, providing high quality, reproducible analysis that impacts company strategy and decision making, building tools to enable scalable processes and enabling others to do the same Have expertise in applied statistics (e.g. predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, regressions), segmentation and experimentation (e.g. A/B testing) in an industry setting and the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical team members Have proficiency in SQL, and experience with a programming language like Python or R Curious about diving into the nuances of our business and product data Thrive collaborating with product teams in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, solving complex and nuanced problems Our Core Behaviors: Build lasting customer trust.
