Description
We are seeking a Technical Lead with deep object-oriented programming expertise in Java to design and build frameworks and tools at scale. The role spans architecture, design, development, and leadership, with hands-on responsibilities in Java and working knowledge across Python and C. Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role Collect and refine requirements; translate them into architecture, detailed design, and high-quality implementation for frameworks and tools predominantly in Java. Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and Eclipse plugins with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and scalability. Implement model-driven development workflows using EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework) and Acceleo for code generation. Own build and dependency management with Maven/Gradle, optimizing multi-module projects and ensuring reproducible builds. Establish and maintain CI/CD practices; collaborate with DevOps to design, implement, and improve pipelines (e.g., build, test, packaging, release). Lead and guide the team in day-to-day activities, mentor engineers, and uphold engineering best practices. Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and apply OOP and design patterns to ensure maintainability and extensibility. Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack, perform root-cause analysis, and drive timely resolutions. Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans. Produce and maintain technical documentation for plugins, modeling artifacts, frameworks, and build pipelines. Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and sustainable engineering practices. Drive tool and framework development that can be deployed and supported at large scale (multi-project/multi-site), focusing on robustness and operability. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Deep knowledge of object-oriented concepts in Java and strong proficiency in core Java (Java 8+), including common design patterns. Proven track record in Java plugin development (preferably Eclipse plugins) and framework/tooling development. Extensive hands-on experience with Maven-based build tooling (multi-module, dependency management, release workflows). Working knowledge of Python and C for scripting, integration, and supporting utilities. Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tooling; ability to collaborate closely with DevOps on pipelines and release automation. Experience building solutions for large-scale deployment and multi-project environments. Proficiency with Java test frameworks (e.g., JUnit) and static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube). Solid understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (branching strategies, pull requests). Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; strong attention to quality and reliability. Excellent communication skills; strong teamwork; proactive, forward-thinking mindset. Team player who fosters collaboration, mentors peers, and builds a positive, accountable culture. Strong ownership, ability to lead without losing hands-on depth, and comfort operating in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with automotive development standards and processes, including ISO 26262 (functional safety). Understanding of Automotive SPICE or similar quality frameworks. Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR-related tooling such as EB Tresos or Vector DaVinci Configurator. Experience with CI ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), artifact repositories, and release management.
