Description

OPPORTUNITY

The primary responsibility of the Senior Staff Engineer role is to deliver innovative consumer products as part of a highly collaborative cross-functional team. The Senior Staff Engineer must combine strong technical skills, collaborative leadership, creativity, and business acumen to bring complex system products from initial concept through to production.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Leverages creative problem solving to design innovative, cost effective, and performance showering products that delight customers and represent the Kohler brand.
  • Brings a positive approach and collaborates with cross functional teams including marketing, program management, industrial design, and manufacturing operations to deliver products on time, within budget.
  • Is passionate about innovation and consistently searches for opportunities to create transformative products.
  • Utilizes broad range material and manufacturing process knowledge including: casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, tube bending, hydroforming and a special focus in plastic injection molding design for manufacturing.
  • Contributes to and leverages a diverse and global engineering organization.
  • Coaches/guides other engineers on the proper decision-making processes, best practices, and manufacturing processes.
  • Technical expert on CAD modeling in Creo Parametric, CAD modeling best practices, and Windchill PDM system.

What you will be doing:

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, or related field) with a minimum of 10 years of work experience
  • Significant experience with Creo Parametric and can coach best practices
  • Hands on fabrication and prototyping skills
  • Strong technical judgement and technical communication
  • Excellent collaboration, influence, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to develop, motivate, and lead technical talent
  • International and domestic travel as needed
