Our team provides 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation and characterization support across all Infineon business divisions – from Automotive to Chipcard and Security – as part of the central Backend Innovation Development Department. We model, simulate and optimize microelectronic packages, printed circuit boards and system components such as embedded passives and antennas. Joining us as Senior Staff Engineer you can grow technically and significantly influence the products of tomorrow. In your new role you will be responsible for: Be responsible for 3D EM and simulation and optimization of power packages, passive components and power converter systems Develop, simulate and optimize power packages, passive components such as power inductors and transformers for power converter systems Support our technology and product development teams with 3D EM and system simulation and power electronic expertise Explore new opportunities for 3D EM simulation in package development and power device testing and develop corresponding simulation approaches and methodologies Take part in expert rounds and gather up-to-date knowledge for our team Your Profile In your daily work you pursue high quality and keep the customer informed appropriately, transparently, and regularly. Furthermore, you have a strong passion and the courage to develop new and creative ideas. You are best equipped for this task if you have: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study At least 5 years of professional work experience with ANSYS 3D EM simulation tools Q3D and Maxwell Strong experience in modelling and simulation of power packages, printed circuit boards and passive components such as power inductors and transformers for power converters Knowledge on switched-mode power supply converters architectures and professional work experience with their analysis using ANSYS and Simetrix circuit simulators Knowledge on thermal simulation using ANSYS Icepak and electrical simulation using ANSYS HFSS would be beneficial Very good English communication skills – German language skills would be a plus #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
