Description Seeking a Senior Staff Geologist to provide advanced subsurface expertise across East Texas and North Louisiana. This role integrates traditional geoscience with modern digital workflows to identify development opportunities, optimize drilling, and support sustainable resource management. Responsibilities Deliver integrated geological interpretations using well logs, seismic, core, and production data. Identify and propose infill drilling, recompletions, and new zone prospects, incorporating risk analysis and volumetrics. Build and maintain basin-scale and field-level models, leveraging ML-driven analytics and cloud-based platforms. Collaborate with engineers, geophysicists, and data scientists to support field development and exploration projects. Contribute to business development activities, including technical input for acquisitions, farm-ins, and joint ventures. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior geoscientists, fostering technical excellence and innovation. Prepare and present data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners. Qualifications · Master’s degree in Geology or related field. · 10+ years of industry experience, with knowledge of Ark-La-Tex stratigraphy and basin systems. · Strong understanding of petrophysical analysis and reservoir characterization. · Experience with geo-steering horizontal wells, well planning, and prognoses. · Geophysical interpretation skills (seismic mapping, attribute analysis) a plus. · Demonstrated business development experience, including technical support for asset evaluations and deal structuring. · Ability to integrate economic, engineering, and environmental data into decision-making. · Proficiency in geological software (Petra, Kingdom, StarSteer or ZoneVu) and data visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI). · Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines. · Demonstrate organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present work product in an effective manner.
