Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants is seeking a Senior Staff/Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will support geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting for a range of infrastructure and development projects. Key Responsibilities * Conduct geotechnical field investigations and engineering analyses * Develop boring layouts and coordinate utility clearance * Supervise drill rigs and field staff * Classify soils; log borings, test pits, and cores * Perform floor level surveys and geotechnical testing/observation services * Review project plans and technical specifications * Prepare geotechnical reports, letters, and technical documentation * Coordinate laboratory testing programs * Perform geotechnical engineering calculations, including: * Slope stability analysis * Liquefaction assessment * Dynamic settlement analysis * Pile foundation design Qualifications * B.S./B.A. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering required * M.S. in related field preferred * Minimum 2+ years geotechnical engineering experience (consulting preferred) * Strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management abilities * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Licensure * EIT and ability to obtain PE License within 6 months required
