Role Description
The Mechanical Engineering team at Form is responsible for designing the battery cell, module, and system enclosure that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We strive to deliver designs that are optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at Form Factory.
We’re seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Architect to join our team and lead mechanical architectural efforts for crucial parts of our iron-air batteries! You’ll play a crucial role in the concept generation and mechanical definition of our system, assemblies and components. In this role you’ll rely upon strong engineering fundamentals and broad technical expertise to ensure performant and optimized mechanical architecture for our future iron-air battery systems. You will interface closely with our advanced product development, mechanical design, systems engineering, analysis & modeling, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure product requirements are met while optimized for performance, cost, manufacturability and reliability.
