Hospital at Home NHS GG&C Neonatal Service Senior Staff Nurse Band 6. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse who holds a qualification in Neonatal Specialist Nursing to join an evolving Hospital @ Home service. This is part of a pilot to test and develop a Hospital @ Home care model within the Neonatal Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Hospital @ Home will consists of an 8 bedded virtual ward and provide hospital care for patients in their own homes. This care will be provided under supervision of a Consultant Neonatologist working within NHS GGC. Direct care of the babies and their families will be provided by specialist neonatal nurses working within the neonatal units and in patient homes This service will improve experience for families by reducing days of stay in hospital or by preventing the need of admission for care. The successful candidate will be enrolled on Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register You must be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of working in acute areas as well as caring for patients in their own homes is desirable. A full driving licence is also required.
