ABOUT THE ROLE
Wirecutter is seeking a passionate, NYC-based Staff Photographer with 5+ years of experience to create and deliver high-quality photography for our product reviews and related journalism. You’ll report to the Director of photography and join a creative and collaborative team, working closely with art directors, stylists, and editors to produce a wide range of product and editorial photography. While you’ll be a great team player, you’ll also be comfortable working independently.
You should have a sophisticated eye for composition, lighting, and styling. You should possess a range of photography skills, including still life, portraits, and on-location shoots using both natural and artificial light. Experience working in a studio environment is essential. We’re looking for someone who is a proactive and engaged presence, comfortable jumping into creative discussions and brainstorming sessions.
This is a hybrid position based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
