Description
We are currently partnering with a progressive regional health service in QLD to recruit a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine to join a high-performing and well-supported ICU team in Bundaberg. This is a tier 2 hospital, with approximately 300+ beds providing critical care services for Bundaberg and surrounding rural communities, supporting a broad mix of medical, surgical, emergency and trauma presentations. The department works closely with ED, anaesthetics, surgical and medical teams, with more complex cases transferred to tertiary centres when required. You will deliver high-quality intensive care services within a major regional referral hospital, supporting a broad patient population across Bundaberg and surrounding rural facilities. The ICU plays a central role in critical care delivery across the wider health service, managing complex medical, surgical and emergency presentations. You will also be involved in: Clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration Supervision, training and mentoring of junior medical staff Participation in audit, research and quality improvement initiatives After-hours and on-call ICU roster The health service supports a population of approximately 225,000 residents, with strong investment in regional healthcare and workforce development. Salary & Package (as per QLD Health Award) L25 – L27: $259,072 – $274,678 p.a. L18 – L24: $216,643 – $251,642 p.a. L13 – L18: $187,569 – $216,643 p.a. Total remuneration: up to $549,694 p.a.
