WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT

• Senior academic degree (Master or PhD) in computer science, chemistry, industrial engineering, materials science
• 8+ years work experience
• Strong AI/ML and data literacy with a focus on adhesives and chemical applications
• Experience in applying data science to chemical research. Proficiency in advanced prompt engineering is desired
• Past experience in industrial automation is a plus
• Ideally, track record with startup innovation (e.g. own startups, scouting tools, network, startup/corporate partnerships, venture capital, venture clienting)Strong strategic and project management skills, pro-active working mode and entrepreneurial spirit

• Guide our Strategic Business Units and Functions in how to create value from startup innovation
• Define search fields and specific problem statements with Business/Functions
• Scout for startups from wide variety of sources to identify relevant startup longlists and assess to shortlist
• Collaborate with business and functional partners to test, pilot and ultimately adopt startup innovation
• Generate relevant strategic foresight from startups/VC ecosystem, etc. and share with senior business stakeholders
• Represent Henkel Adhesive Technologies and our Startup Innovation activities at various external events and shape our presence and image in the startup ecosystem
• Contribute to the strategic development of our Startup Innovation team, activities and capabilities
