In this role, you will design, plan, and execute biostatistical components of R&D projects to ensure the safety, efficacy, and marketability of Point of Care Medical Devices. To succeed, you’ll need a Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field, at least 7 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, and advanced programming proficiency in R and other statistical software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Engineering, or Epidemiology.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a biostatistician in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced programming expertise in R (mandatory), with strong knowledge of SAS JMP, Minitab, NCSS PASS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Experience with clinical study design, regulatory submissions, and quality systems.
  • Knowledge of ICH/GCP and FDA 510K Clearance Guidelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead statistical support for R&D programs, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reports, tables, and analyses.
  • Present statistical findings to cross-functional teams and communicate key concepts in an accessible way.
  • Identify and correct flaws in data interpretation and ensure compliance with internal reporting guidelines.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives in statistics and data analytics.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, providing training tools and career development support.
  • Contribute to a healthy workplace culture and support environmental safety standards.
