The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist will collaborate with internal customers for procurement category strategy development, contract negotiation, change management and supplier management Develop and execute global procurement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to align with organizational objectives. Maintain a deep understanding of assigned procurement categories, including cost structures, supplier landscape, and market dynamics at regional and global levels. Conduct sourcing activities such as market research, RFQs, RFPs, and competitive procurement processes. Analyze CSL assets and equipment lifecycles to recommend sourcing strategies that minimize asset downtime post shipyard delivery. Support managers and directors in supplier evaluations, including the design of evaluation matrices and analysis of results. Build total cost models, savings projections, and analytical reports using large datasets to support negotiation and sourcing strategies. Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal commercial and contractual terms. Develop KPIs to track strategy implementation, compliance, and performance results. Manage vendor performance, ESG risk metrics, contract renewals, and supplier relationships. The skills you will bring to our team Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 5–10 years of relevant procurement experience; marine industry experience is an asset. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis). Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (asset). Knowledge of data analytics and BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, SAS, Access – asset). Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Knowledge of English is necessary for this role due to daily interactions with colleagues, clients and partners who are mainly located outside Quebec and in order to understand regulatory requirements and technical instructions and specifications.
