What will your typical day look like?
We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager with in-depth experience across retail and consumer sectors.
Specifically, you will demonstrate deep understanding of the retail and/or FMCG landscape, including knowledge of consumer behaviour, supply chain, strategic sourcing, multi-channel retailing, e-commerce and the competitive landscape in Australia. Additionally, you will have a solid understanding of how key trends and technology are impacting the sector and an ability to integrate this understanding into strategic recommendations that address operational complexity and client needs.
As a Senior Strategy Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities may include;
Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a project team(s) and taking ownership of a project’s direction and its outcomes
Managing client relationships on projects and proactively building strong relationships across the retail and consumer sector
Leveraging your deep strategy expertise and skill set to work collaboratively with clients to help solve their key business challenges
Leading project management including managing project financials and proactively identifying and addressing project risks as they arise
Assisting Directors, and Partners with defining project scopes and requirements
Identifying and pursuing new client opportunities and business development activities within our retail practice, including leading or contributing to proposal development activities to shape, scope and win new packages of work
Coaching and mentoring junior team members within our practice, investing in their career journeys in addition to your own
Contributing to the growth of the broader practice through thought leadership and knowledge sharing whilst helping support team recruitment, onboarding, learning and culture

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will possess a tertiary degree with an outstanding academic record, coupled with demonstrated strategy consulting experience in a Tier 1 consulting firm or strategy boutique. In addition, you will demonstrate exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise mature judgment.
You will have highly effective communication skills and a proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders (GM, C-suite). Additionally, you will have a track record influencing, driving outcomes and developing new opportunities.
As a Senior Manager, you will have proven team leadership, mentoring and people management capabilities, and a record of developing effective and efficient work environments that enable others to work to the best of their abilities.
