Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business planning and strategy for Elders and SME, including opportunity analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Liaise with business to identify key performance trends, provide detailed variances analysis, address performance-related queries, and lead performance optimisation initiatives across portfolio and channel
  • Conduct performance monitoring and provide analytical and modelling support to key stakeholders for decision making.
  • Interpret and communicate complex data to support portfolio optimisation strategy, and engage regularly with management and key stakeholders
  • Engage in strategic projects and modernisation initiatives to drive business improvements and implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency across reporting and analytics functions.
  • Work as part of a team with minimal guidance, assisting other strategy analysts when needed.

To be successful in this role you will have the good knowledge and understanding of how portfolio performance can be managed, and the relationship between economic inflation and insurance product pricing.

  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance P&L, and basic knowledge of product management, including pricing strategies and the impact of economic inflation on insurance products.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance, underwriting, partnership, products, and other teams.
  • Proficient in SQL, Power BI, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on and collaborative, with the ability to influence through insights. Comfortable building tools, dashboards, and frameworks from scratch.
  • Degree qualified in a quantitative field (e.g. Actuarial, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Finance and Accounting) is preferred
