JOB SUMMARY

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Designer to join our team and lead the design efforts on residential construction projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong foundation in structural design and a deep understanding of residential building techniques, materials, and codes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed structural designs and drawings for residential buildings using AutoCAD and other design software
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and compliance with local building codes
• Review and interpret geotechnical reports, site conditions, and architectural plans to design structural solutions
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve design-related issues during project execution
• Prepare documentation for permitting and construction, including calculations and specifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on residential construction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM tools is not required
• Strong knowledge of wood framing, foundation systems, and residential building codes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
