You will:

• Manage drafting on large projects autonomously and lead junior drafters within the project team.
• Manage small projects autonomously where no Lead Engineer is allocated
• Liaise with engineers and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation.
• Competently convey structural/civil information into drawing format which can be interpreted by builders
• Assist Lead Engineer in the preparation of preliminary sketch designs from architectural drawings as required
• Act as the first point of contact on projects and answer queries from others
• Attend consultant meetings as required
• Provide training and assistance to junior drafters including technical support of Revit/AutoCAD and other software
• Actively input ideas to the progressive improvement of the drafting systems

About you:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

• At least 8 years’ experience in drafting
• Minimum 2 years local experience
• Technical Vocational School Graduate (or equivalent) or Diploma
• Completion of relevant REVIT Course
• Ability to lead and supervise a team of Drafters
• Ability to provide drafting training to apprentices and other draftspersons
• Ability to provide technical support to other drafters
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English in written and verbal clearly and tactfully.
• Demonstrate time management skills
