Job Description We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum 10 years of experience for our LA – Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete and wood commercial/institutional buildings. In This Role You Will: Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects. Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings. Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs. Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design. Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications. Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients. Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department, projects, and growth objectives. Compensation and Benefits Approximate Base Salary – $120,000 - $150,000+ based on experience. Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate. Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance. Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change). 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution. Qualifications Essential Qualifications B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering. PE or SE registration in any state. 10 or more years of experience with design of concrete, steel, and timber structures. Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight. Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Registered CA Structural Engineer. M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field. Multi-discipline project management experience. Experience with DSA and OSHPD. Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner. Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work. Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
