QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary degree admitting to the Institution of Engineers Australia; essential
• Hold and maintain relevant state registrations for a Structural Engineer; essential
• Chartered Engineer status; desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Structural Engineer undertakes investigations, analysis and design of structural projects in accordance with the direction of the Project Manager, project brief and fee structure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare structural designs for medium and high-rise buildings
• Execution of engineering design projects in accordance with the project brief
• Undertaking components of design such as steel, precast concrete, post tensioned concrete, masonry and timber
• Plan design packaging and design interfaces
• Produce designs and design documentation
• Prepare engineering designs, specifications and documentation
• Manage the verification of the design in accordance with the quality system
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise designers and drafters
