Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
- Active P.Eng. status in Alberta
- 15-20 years of design experience in EPC or Consulting industry is preferred
- Be familiar with structural analysis software SFrame / STAAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
- Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices
- Experience with site grading and roadway design is an asset for this position
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to establish and maintain positive client and project team relationships
- Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines

Responsibilities:
- Work with lead engineers to scope out projects, establish project objectives
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical etc.
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and industry standards, engineering formulas, and experience
- Produce sketches to be incorporated in models/drawings by Designers/Drafters
- Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents
- Provide construction support including review shop drawings, respond to RFIs etc.
- Develop construction cost estimates for projects within the department
- May serve as Project Engineer and as a designated Client contact on smaller, less complex projects
- Develop engineering estimates and assist with proposal development
- Manage discipline schedules and deliverables
