JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. To Be Based in Ras Al-Khaimah, in this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the structures being built. This is a leadership position that requires technical expertise, innovation, and the ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management.
  • Proficiency in structural design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RISA, STAAD).
  • Strong knowledge of structural codes, standards, and building regulations (e.g., AISC, ACI, IBC, ASCE).
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required in some locations).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in specialized structural areas such as seismic design, high-rise buildings, or bridge design.
  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications (e.g., LEED).
Responsibilities
  • Structural Design & Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for various projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. Use structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, or RISA) to model, analyze, and design structures.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple structural projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to client specifications. Manage project teams, set priorities, and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure structural designs are integrated with other building systems and meet project requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all structural designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Perform detailed reviews and checks on designs to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address complex structural challenges and provide innovative solutions to overcome project constraints, site conditions, and client requirements.
  • Site Visits & Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, verify that work is proceeding according to plan, and provide technical support during construction. Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting with their technical development and project tasks. Review and approve their work to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure designs meet project goals. Present design concepts and progress updates to clients and stakeholders as needed.
  • Technical Reports & Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, design calculations, and other documentation required for project approvals, permitting, and construction.
