Under the direction of the General Manager, the Senior Structural Engineer will leverage their extensive experience in structural assessment, design, and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the integrity of building structures, designing structural components, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. This role demands a high level of expertise in structural engineering, with a particular focus on the building envelope sector.

REQUIREMENTS

· 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building envelope design and assessment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a P.Eng designation
· Strong knowledge of structural analysis, material properties, and design principles.
· Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

· Perform structural analysis and design of buildings and other structures.
· Conduct condition assessments and provide recommendations for repairs or reinforcement.
· Develop technical reports, drawings, and specifications for structural projects.
· Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other team members to develop integrated designs.
· Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and other relevant structural standards.
· Conduct site inspections and provide field support during construction.
· Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
