KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate in Engineering discipline with typically twelve years practical experience or equivalent recognised experience
  • Experience in applying tools, techniques and the use of specialised equipment
  • A thorough understanding of general theories and applications covering a broad knowledge of Structural Analysis is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Company Procedures and standards relating to engineering, health & safety and environment

  • Approves others work to ensure Company, Customer and Regulatory requirements are met.
  • Identifies and implements methods and techniques to be used within own particular work area.
  • Assesses and recommends methods and techniques to be used for the BU.

Responsibilities

To act as the discipline expert for Structural Analysis for a particular work package or process.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural analysis and review and approve the work of Structural Analysis team members and contractors to fulfil customer expectations.
  • Working with multi-functional team to develop new concepts and architectures to provide improved / novel solutions.
  • Identifies Structural Analysis methods and techniques to be utilised for particular work packages.
  • Defines Structural requirements to be met for particular work packages.
  • Defines specific Structures skillset training required for a particular work package.
  • Assesses potential Structural Analysis tools and methods which could be utilised for the Business Unit and makes recommendations to senior management.
  • Acts as coach/mentor to junior Structures Engineering staff.
  • Supports Chief Structures Engineer in preparation for gate reviews.
