FIXED TERM MATERNITY COVER UP TO 30/06/2026
This is an exciting opportunity to join the directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration (SPSA) which is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University.
The Senior Student Record Officer (Maternity Cover) role will be in the Transactional Operations team within Student Record Systems. The role will primarily be responsible for the leading in delivering exceptional service to both students and staff while ensuring efficient processing across all administrative facets within the student record system, including support for associated events and processes. The responsibilities and tasks relating to students relate to all University provision and ‘types’ of student – undergraduate and postgraduate, full time and part time, on campus or online, with partners. The role will encompass technical operational activities and involve hands-on use of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to assist with data integrity checks and identify errors with resolutions within the team.
The successful candidate will be a true team player, customer focused and provide support across the University. They will have experience in the use of large data systems and a good understanding of data structures. They will be able to plan and organise their own work, use initiative, contribute ideas for process improvement and demonstrate a flexible approach, ensuring effective service delivery outcomes. Experience of working within Higher Education and supporting processes associated with the student journey would be helpful but is not essential.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
