THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a motivated Senior Subcontracts Specialist (Contracts Management Professional) to join our Joint Systems business division to support an Australian telecommunications and infrastructure maintenance and support services program. The position can be based in either Brisbane, Adelaide or Geraldton.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies
- Five (5) years’ or more work experience in contracts management or procurement with prior experience in construction, infrastructure or Defence being highly desirable;
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in law, commerce or business;
- Strong written and verbal communications skills;
- Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in procurement and contracting and their interdependencies with other disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
- A willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team and remote from some internal customers and colleagues in support of a dynamic customer.

Responsibilities:
In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for construction, telecommunications and infrastructure goods and services;
- Draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types spanning construction, telecommunications and infrastructure equipment and support services;
- Engage with remote and local internal and external stakeholders;
- Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
- Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress reporting; and
- Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures.
