Senior Nursery Supervisor
We would welcome applications from Suitably Qualified and Experienced Childcare Candidates for this Senior Position Role within the Nursery.
This position will be a combination of both room and office responsibilities within the Nursery.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Applicants currently working towards Level 5 Qualification or considering completing this course
• Experience working in a senior leadership role in a nursery or similar childcare setting
• Hold up to date core training in Child Safeguarding/Child Protection Certificate
• Hold an up to date core training in Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Hold an up to date core training in Basic Food and Hygiene Certificate
• Training will be be provided when certificate dates lapse

Some of the duties you will be required to fulfil in this position are:

• You will work alongside and Liaise with Management and furthermore Liaise with Supervisors/Assistant Supervisors daily
• You will work with the Supervisors/Assistant Supervisors & the Room Teams to provide a high standard of day to day care for the children in our care daily
• Be responsible for carrying out set rota’s and be responsible for ensuring daily breaks and lunches are adequately covered within the nursery
• Where necessary answer Nursery phone and deal with calls and enquiries
• When and where necessary to work within the nursery room age groups to give support and cover alongside the Room Supervisors
• To provide cover within the offices where necessary carry out duties as set out per management requirements
• Help to monitor room’s resources and needs alongside the Room Supervisors
• Dealing with further enquiries and carrying out settling phases with parents and children when starting dates are confirmed
• Have good organisational and communication skills, relaying information to parents on a daily basis where appropriate
• Partaking in driving duties alongside Management to escort children to the local Pre-School Nursery for the sessions which we accommodate
• Completing the appropriate paperwork required on all levels within the rooms and office environments in compliance with regulations
• To provide cover within the nursery rooms daily where and when needed and also within the offices where necessary to fulfil nursery requirements and ensure that there is a safe, caring and welcoming environment for the children and their families.
• Core training will be provided where necessary i.e. Food Hygiene

Experience:

• Nursery Assistant in Daycare Setting: 3 years (required)
• Supervisor and Senior Supervisory Experience in Day Nursery: 2 years (required)
