JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: hybrid
The Senior Supplier Relations Specialist plays a critical role in managing and enhancing supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and driving supplier performance. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and strong communication skills to effectively liaise between Sun Life business units and suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Create, communicate, and align contract provisions with legal requirements and policies; edit and draft Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts.
  • Ensure contracts achieve acceptable risk levels and suggest improvements where necessary;
  • Coordinate and summarize competitive analysis, spend analysis, KPIs, and operating reports.
  • Manage and analyze high-tier suppliers’ delivery of service levels, cross-referencing with contracts.
  • Assist in second-level service provider escalations to the SRM team.
  • Participate in service provider audits and reports.
  • Support team projects related to suppliers and contracts.
  • Consult on issues impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of supplier relationship management and cross-functional processes.
  • Ensure standard practices are followed and collaborate on supplier management best practices.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between Sun Life business units and suppliers; engage with Third Party Risk Management, IT Security, Legal, Operation Risk etc.
