QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years Supply Chain management experience with a background in International Freight, Warehouse Management, Customer Service and Supply Planning areas critical
  • FMCG/Beverage background desirable but not critical
  • Tertiary qualification preferrable
  • Project management experience essential
  • Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and influence a wide range of functional stakeholders and direct reports
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strengths in complex problem solving and major business case preparation
  • Mobility – the candidate would need to be able to travel up to a maximum of 20% of their time, both domestically and internationally
  • Location – the primary office location would be based in Sydney

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all logistics and supply operations and activities that directly service the Oceania Domestic and Travel Retail business unit
  • Identify and lead on all logistics, supply and inventory opportunities that will optimize Suntory Global Spirits supply chain network and help deliver the lowest possible cost to serve and working capital and positively influence business unit and global cash flow projections
  • Manage (contract ownership and operational) key 3rd party logistics service providers including Case Finished Goods, Bulk alcohol and Travel Retail warehouse and distribution operations, Freight forwarder contracts and domestic co-packing and co-manufacturing service
  • Co-own domestic supply planning and inventory management decisions with our local partner and directly manage the critical interface between Suntory Global Spirits Operating Units (bottling plants), Global Logistics operations, Customer Service teams and the local supply chain business unit team
  • Maintain robust and frequent operating cadences with all internal and external teams and partners covering the short-, medium- and long-term horizons, identifying and initiating mitigation actions on identified risk within logistics and supply and inventory outlooks
  • Manage budgeting and reporting requirements for the Supply Chain across both domestic and travel retail business units
  • Deliver on key supply and logistics KPIs including but not limited to customer service, cost to serve, inventory, cash flow and working capital targets as aligned with Global Supply Chain leadership team and local Business Unit commercial Finance teams
  • Identify opportunities and manage the execution of local, regional and global logistics, customer service, supply and inventory improvement projects and initiatives aimed at reducing costs and/or improving productivity and service to the supply chain while owning the critical interface of these with our co-manufacturing partner and internal CoE teams
  • Actively initiate and lead tender processes across the supply chain
  • Oversee and lead critical functional tasks including, but not limited to – the Run In Run Out process, Inventory projections and modelling, replenishment planning (bulk and CFG), supply chain budget delivery, relevant supply chain MBR slides and KPIs, Supply Review, allocations management
  • Coordinate development of IT solutions for Supply Chain within Oceania, in order to improve connectivity, Inventories visibility, by implementing tools improving our internal processes
  • Team management. Lead, organize and motivate the supply and fulfillment team to functional and business goals. Oversee team activities, ensuring efficient task completion, fostering a positive work environment, and driving team performance.
  • Over the next one-year period, the role will represent Suntory Global Spirits as the local lead for all supply and logistics programs of work, responsible for helping set the strategy and project delivery in these functional areas in line with business expectations
  • Prepare, review and submit periodic Customs and Excise settlement and provision of advice to the business on changes to tax legislation that affects the business activities of the company in conjunction with the Finance Controllership Manager and PWC
