About BYD Auto Hungary On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base. BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Senior Supply Chain Management Engineer to our Auto Manufacturing Division. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for managing the sourcing and development progress of all vehicle projects at the Hungary plant. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, market conditions. Research and consolidate market resources, interpret Localization Content (LC) policies, and coordinate LC rate calculation. Drive the formulation and implementation of sourcing strategies with a forward-looking perspective to achieve localization rate targets and cost optimization goals. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the supplier database, managing the entire supplier lifecycle, and driving continuous improvement in supplier competitiveness. Responsible for invoice management, supplier issue resolution, etc. Responsible for identifying procurement operational risks, developing closed-loop solutions, and supports digitalization initiatives within the procurement function. Responsible for end-to-end supplier management processes to ensure fairness, transparency, and competitiveness. Standardize and optimize procurement processes for overseas business based on practical experience, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required: Education: Bachelor's degree or above Major: Degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or Supply Chain Management are preferred Language skill: Fluent in English (Proficiency in Chinese is a plus) Prior experience in an OEM's supply chain is required. Understanding of the local supply chain landscape and familiarity with automotive industry dynamics. Extensive automotive industry experience is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing management experience and capabilities. Proficiency in using data analysis tools to inform decision-making. Strong communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative team spirit.
