Description
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement and subcontracts strategies tailored to the specific requirements of each project
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and align procurement and subcontracts plans accordingly
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a reliable and diverse network of partners
  • Develop, issue and manage Invitation to Tender (ITT) for equipment and subcontract packages
  • Review and evaluate bids and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors. Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions, competitive pricing, and sustainable agreements that maximise value for the organisation and clients
  • Draft, review, and execute subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Oversee post-award subcontract management, including:
  • Managing subcontractors perfromance and compliance with subcontract terms
  • reviewing and approving subcontractors; progress claim and invoices
  • Handling subcontract variations, amendments, and scope changes
  • Managing and resolving subcontractor claims and disputes
  • Ensuring timely closeout and completion of subcontracts, including final payments and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements while mitigating risks associated with procurement activities
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses related to procurement. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or project timelines
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or vendor reliability
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain project momentum and quality standards
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance. Generate reports and updates for project managers and senior management as required
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
