EachStep Blackley is a 60 bed purpose built specialist dementia care service, that provides respite, residential, nursing and end of life care. The home brings together modern dementia-friendly environment design, leading person-centred care approaches, a significant focus on involving the local community, and a commitment to making a social impact in the Manchester area.
Rate of pay currently under review.
The Senior Carer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
-To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
- Good communication skills are essential, both verbally and written
- Competent with administering medication
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
- IT skills desirable due to progression to electronic Care Plans and MARs
- Willingness to progress within your role
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.10 per hour

Experience:

• providing care: 1 year (preferred)
• supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
