Job Title: Senior Support Worker (Male) – Mental Health Supported Living
Location: Southampton
Hours: Part-time or Full-time
Salary: £14.00–£16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Driving licence preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a supported living or mental health setting.
Strong leadership potential with good communication and organisational skills.
Must be male (occupational requirement).
Right to work in the UK.
Flexibility to work various shifts.

Willingness to complete mandatory training (e.g. medication, safeguarding, mental health awareness).
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our company is seeking a dedicated male Senior Support Worker to provide hands-on care and lead a small team in delivering high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs in a supported living setting.
Due to the nature of the service and the needs of the individuals we support, this is a male-only position in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Paragraph 1.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver person-centred support to service users with mental health challenges.
Take the lead during shifts, offering guidance to support staff and acting as the first point of contact.
Support with daily living skills, medication, emotional well-being, and social integration.
Monitor risk assessments, support plans, and daily logs to ensure best practices and compliance.
Escalate concerns appropriately to the Registered Manager.
Work closely with health and social care professionals, families, and MDTs.
Assist with onboarding and shadowing of new staff.
Promote independence, dignity, and safeguarding at all times.
