SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER (DAYS)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £13.85 per hour + Overtime paid at £15.35 per hour + On-Call paid £35 pw
Hours: Full-time, Permanent position 11-hour shifts (7:45 am – 8 pm), 3-4 days per week, every other weekend and sleeps.
Rotas: Confirmed 3 weeks in advance, subject to service needs

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join a 10-bed rehabilitation service, in Leeds. This service focuses on providing a step-down facility, helping individuals transition towards independent living.
As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care.
· Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
· Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
· Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
