ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Bradford. Our residential service provides high-quality care and support to children with learning disabilities, helping them to feel safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory standards. You’ll be a role model for best practice and a trusted presence for both children and colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct care and emotional support to children with learning disabilities
  • Lead shifts and support with rota planning and daily coordination
  • Mentor and guide support workers, promoting a positive team culture
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals
