Responsibilities:
- As a senior support worker, you’ll deliver excellent care, celebrate achievements, encouarge fun and creativity and engage directly with our wider community.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Support individuals in participating in community and social activities
- Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable transportation to travel to different locations as needed
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
