Senior Support Worker – Solo Placement Children’s Home
Location: Ascot
Salary: £31,000+ base salary plus £55 per sleep-in (1–2 per week) & optional overtime
Do you want a role where your skills, resilience, and compassion can truly change a child’s life?
We are opening a specialist solo placement home in Ascot, supporting a young child with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker who can provide stability, consistency, and genuine care — supported by one of the most robust professional networks in the sector.
Why this role is unique:

We know the challenges — and we invest heavily to make sure our staff feel supported and equipped. You will not be alone in this role. We provide:

  • Regulatory Consultant (ex-Ofsted Inspector): full service audits to strengthen practice.
  • Full-time Responsible Individual: with a proven Outstanding Ofsted track record.
  • Clinical Psychologist: regular assessments and ongoing guidance.
  • Clinical Mental Health Nurse: ACEs and trauma-informed training for all staff.
  • Physical Intervention Training (PRICE): available as needed, especially for new starters.
  • Therapeutic frameworks: PBS, PERMA, PACE, Active Support, and Trauma-Informed Practice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading shifts and supporting staff in a solo placement environment.
  • Building safe, trusting relationships with a child who needs consistency and compassion.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour management.
  • Working closely with clinicians, managers, and external professionals.
  • Acting as a role model and mentor to junior staff.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children with complex, challenging behaviours.
  • Emotional resilience, patience, and a calm, confident approach.
  • A belief that every child has potential, even when facing significant barriers.
  • A team player with leadership skills who can inspire colleagues.
  • Level 3 in Children and Young People Preferred but not Essential

What we offer you:

  • Starting salary of £31,000+.
  • Sleep-in allowance (£55 per sleep, 1–2 per week).
  • Optional overtime for extra earnings.
  • Extensive training and therapeutic development.
  • Clear progression opportunities into Deputy Manager roles.
  • A supportive, family-feel culture that values staff wellbeing.
