Description

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and committed Senior Support Worker who is based in Aberdeen City and surrounding areas to join our Domiciliary Care Team.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in Domiciliary care of at least 1 year
· Strong communication skills and fluency in English are required for effective interaction with clients, families, social workers and colleagues.
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
· Strong leadership and people skills to be able to manage a team effectively
· Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations calmly
· Basic IT skills are essential to be able to operate to rostering management system, maintaining records for both clients and staff, and online training
· Excellent knowledge of the care inspectorate compliance requirements and maintaining these at the highest level
· Must have a full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
· SVQ3 /NVQ3 or equivalent
· Flexibility in terms of hours and days able to work
· Must be Reliable, Dedicated, Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision

Pay range: £12.00 – 13.00 per hour
Location: Aberdeen City and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, you will typically manage a team of community support workers (home care workers). You will be the link to the Care Coordinator and Service manager.
You will be involved in the enrolling new clients, assessments of clients, writing care plans, reviews and using your excellent communication skills to update clients, families and the care managers.
You will be involved in Care management meetings held on a weekly basis.
You will be involved in the Rota management for the team of carers you are working with and conducting spot checks
You will participate in the On-call Rota
You will be expected to cover shifts in the community if there is no staff capacity to do so and in in cases of staff shift cancellations.
