Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Surveyor to support the day-to-day and strategic asset management of Parliament’s unique property portfolio, which includes operational and non-operational, freehold and leasehold assets. Working across both Houses, the post-holder will manage a broad range of estate activities, including corporate property management and acting as an Intelligent Client to external suppliers. They will work closely with high-value programmes and project teams, tackling complex and sensitive property matters.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Acting directly or as Intelligent Client for estate management activities, including landlord and tenant transactions, acquisitions, disposals, and service charge management.
  • Collaborating with external consultants on key initiatives such as non-domestic rates appeals and rent reviews.
  • Preparing and presenting formal reports and business cases to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Liaising with a range of stakeholders, including service providers, contractors, tenants, landlords, and legal representatives.
  • Assisting with property portfolio budget forecasting, income monitoring, and financial reporting.
