We’re looking for a Senior Surveyor to lead survey work, ensuring everything meets legal and project requirements. You’ll collaborate with project managers, manage equipment, and make sure quality standards are met. You’ll also handle survey requests, troubleshoot issues with contractors or clients, and stay up to date with industry trends and regulations.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Survey or its equivalent.
  • Prior experience across a variety of projects and surveying disciplines with an emphasis on experience in surveying in the Dam construction industry.
  • Competency across various computing programs and software platforms as required.
  • Ability to create and maintain data systems, including design changes, ‘as built’ records and calibration records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
  • Plan for surveying on sections of projects, including economic planning, compliance with legal requirements.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Survey Managers and the like, assisting to allocate people and resources as required.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager/ Survey Manager, assist to supervise, instruct and coordinate survey personnel on the project, including subcontractors where applicable.
  • Prepare and supervise or undertake surveys required to control location and quality of engineering developments and meet contractual and quality assurance obligations throughout the project.
  • Design, establish and maintain spatial control networks, maintaining core databases, determining spatial relationships within land and geographic information systems
