JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from cutting-edge new developments to large-scale retrofits, helping to shape the future of sustainable design and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainable building practices and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Building Physics, Architecture, Energy Management, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience in sustainability consulting or a similar role within the built environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Awareness of broader sustainability topics, such as governance, reporting, climate change adaptation, and behaviour change.

EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE PROFICIENCY IN AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • Energy modelling and building performance simulations.
  • Sustainable building certifications, e.g. BREEAM Assessor.
  • Life cycle analysis and carbon footprint assessments.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct building performance assessments and energy modelling to optimise sustainability outcomes.
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies for projects across various sectors.
  • Manage multiple projects independently, ensuring efficient delivery within time and budget constraints.
  • Provide expert guidance on sustainability frameworks and certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Passivhaus and NABERS.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to promote sustainable design and operational strategies.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and industry best practices through research, reports, and presentations.
  • Mentor and support junior consultants in their professional development.
