Description

The Senior SysOps or DevOps/Cloud Engineer will ensure robust, scalable and easy to maintain on-premise infrastructure including Virtualized Infrastructure, Servers, SAN Storage as well as manage Azure and AWS Cloud instances. The incumbent will ensure that these components and the overall services use automated processes. The Senior SysOps Engineer will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure through collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality solutions. Tech stack: VMware vSphere, Citrix Apps & Desktops, Windows Active Directory, Ping Identity, RESTful APIs, Amazon AWS (EC2, S3, Control Tower, Lambda, Connect, RedShift, GuardDuty), Azure (AzureAD B2B, PowerBI Premium, RDS, SharePoint Online), Linux, Cohesity DMaaS, NetApp, Compellent. Responsibilities • Building out new Cloud or Virtualization infrastructure – Servers, Storage, VDI, Daas, • Work on ways to automate and improve daily administration processes • Automate system deployments for consistency • Testing and examining scripts written by others and analyzing results • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats • Ensuring health and optimizing the system performance • Identifying technical problems and implementing systems updates and ‘fixes’ • Working with software developers, architects, and DBA’s to support new cloud-based solutions. • Understand the needs of stakeholders and implement solutions • Mentor and assist junior team members Education • Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 5 years of experience in a Hybrid Cloud Systems Administration capacity or equivalent experience in Systems Administration • Relative current technical certifications and coursework in Cloud Technology – AWS, Azure • Advanced certifications a plus • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator/AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate • Vmware VCP Skills • Relative experience in enterprise infrastructure administration • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) • Experience in AWS and Azure • Experience with Intune • Experience in Enterprise Storage management • Experience managing DaaS or VDI solutions • Experience in Enterprise Storage management • Experience in Windows Active Directory Architecture and Windows PKI • Experience in Virtualized infrastructure management (VMware or Xen/XCP-ng) • Experience in Identity Management solutions (Ping Identity preferred) • Experience in Linux Administration • Hardworking and passionate with a can-do attitude. • Critical thinking experience • Be assertive • Self-learner
