E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in MacDill AFB, FL in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). USSOCOM develops and employs the world's finest SOF to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force, in concert with the U.S. Government Interagency, Allies, and Partners, to support persistent, networked, and distributed combatant command operations and campaigns against state and non-state actors all to protect and advance U.S. policies and objectives. Job Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and proactively resolving technical issues Responding to requests for technical support Providing recommendations for technical support Providing technical problem solving for customer support of database Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization Able to troubleshoot VTC equipment and escalate to the appropriate Tier support Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems. Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. Ensure incidents and change requests reflecting work are routinely updated to comply with service level agreements. Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports. Installs operating system software, patches, and upgrades. Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues. Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Performs system backups and recovery. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures(SOPs). Troubleshoots and proactively resolve technical issues or individual users. Installs, configures and maintains customer desktops and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers. Monitor Enterprise servers and services via Riverbed Conduct 24/7 hourly checks for core Enterprise services Monitor the health of O365 and cloud services Monitor azure servers for mobility up time Monitor Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) clusters Monitor Enterprise portals to include PowerShell ping testing Gather data for Senior Government reports. Analyze, diagnose, report applications and device issues. Create trouble tickets for critical core service alerts Maintain continuity log to pass critical information to all shifts Provide clear troubleshooting and reporting via the Remedy Conduct phone checks to ensure device functionality and security Collect, analyze, capture metrics on Enterprise IT servers and devices Create reports to identify expiration of crypto devices Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 5-10 years of relevant experience. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification (e.g., Security+ ce). 3-5 years of experience working with the specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government. Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical staff. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level. Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA). Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently.
