Position: Senior System Analyst Location: Onsite – Oman Eligibility: Omani Nationals Only Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time (Contractual) KalSoft is looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in business and system analysis, financial systems, taxation platforms, enterprise documentation, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams by analyzing business needs, designing functional solutions, managing vendor coordination, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users through workshops and interviews to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements. Conduct comprehensive analysis of taxation and financial systems to evaluate functionality, performance, efficiency, and future readiness. Perform gap analysis between current and future business processes, identifying automation opportunities and recommending optimized solutions. Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), functional specifications, use cases, workflows, and related documentation. Evaluate the feasibility and business impact of proposed solutions, including proof-of-concept designs for major system enhancements. Act as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to coordinate system enhancements, updates, and service delivery. Manage vendor deliverables, review proposed solutions, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and timely execution. Identify, analyze, and document system defects, verify fixes, conduct regression testing, and support issue resolution. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases while leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and business requirements. Document system architecture, workflows, process maps, use case diagrams, data flows, and integration points. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user manuals, training materials, and version-controlled documentation. Monitor system performance after implementation, conduct process reviews, audits, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement. Prepare project status reports, progress updates, and presentations for management and key stakeholders. Conduct end-user training sessions and provide knowledge transfer to internal IT teams while mentoring junior analysts where required. Ensure documentation quality, compliance with organizational standards, and successful project delivery throughout the system lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience as a System Analyst in enterprise environments. Minimum 5+ years of experience working with financial systems such as ERP, accounting, or financial management solutions. Minimum 3+ years of experience with taxation systems (VAT, Income Tax, e-Invoicing) or similar financial platforms. Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system implementation methodologies. Hands-on experience with business analysis and process modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io. Experience with documentation and collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence. Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant discipline. Experience within financial services, banking, taxation, or government finance sectors. Experience managing third-party vendors and enterprise solution providers. Professional certifications such as: CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA TOGAF or ITIL Foundation SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics Certifications Experience with large-scale enterprise digital transformation projects will be an added advantage.
