Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior System Architect with strong expertise in HMI and infotainment for employment with our client in Gothenburg. This is a key role for someone who combines strong architectural thinking with a hands-on mindset and enjoys working closely with both product and engineering teams. You will play an important part in shaping complex user-facing systems and ensuring strong alignment across software, hardware, and user experience. The role suits someone who is comfortable taking technical ownership from early concept through validation and release. Responsibilities Define and guide system architecture for complex HMI and infotainment solutions Take ownership of features across the full lifecycle, from early concept and definition to validation and release Ensure alignment between software, hardware, and user experience layers in a distributed development environment Contribute to safety-related analyses and help ensure solutions are designed with compliance in mind Act as a technical reference point for cross-functional teams Support architectural decisions with a practical, hands-on approach when needed Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and other technical disciplines Requirements 7+ years of experience working with system-level design within HMI and/or infotainment Strong understanding of how end-to-end user-facing vehicle features are specified, developed, and integrated Experience from architecture work in embedded systems environments Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools used to build embedded user interfaces Experience contributing to safety-oriented development processes and assessments aligned with relevant industry standards Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from idea and architecture to implementation and delivery Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams Nice to Have Experience from automotive product development Experience from startup or fast-moving product environments Strong understanding of distributed development organizations Experience promoting technical best practices and knowledge sharing across teams Personal Profile We believe you are a clear communicator who enjoys working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
