This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer (Software Developer) in Germany. In this role, you will shape and maintain critical system components and services, focusing on automation, security, and seamless integration. You’ll work with cloud and hybrid environments, containerized applications, and Kubernetes-based platforms, building robust CI/CD pipelines and ensuring reliable operations. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will contribute your expertise to optimize deployments, implement secure infrastructure, and create tools that enhance system performance. This position offers the chance to influence the design of scalable and modern infrastructure while sharing knowledge and best practices with peers. Accountabilities: Develop and maintain central system components, tools, and services with an emphasis on automation, security, and integration. Integrate containerized applications and Kubernetes-based environments, contributing to API and interface development such as SCIM. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI and ArgoCD, and deploy applications with Helm. Support customers in operating complex system landscapes stably and efficiently. Collaborate with development teams, sharing knowledge and providing guidance on system architecture and best practices. Several years of experience as a System Engineer or DevOps Engineer with expertise in Linux, containerization, and Kubernetes. Strong automation skills with tools such as Docker, Helm, Terraform/openTofu and experience with CI/CD workflows. Programming skills in Python or Bash and familiarity with REST APIs. Solid understanding of directory services and authentication mechanisms (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos, Keycloak). Experience with cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., StackIT, AWS, Azure, OpenStack). Structured, self-driven, and collaborative with a willingness to share knowledge. Bonus: Experience with identity and access management platforms like Nubus or similar open-source solutions. Knowledge of security standards (SBOM/VEX, BSI-Grundschutz). Interest in open-source software and modern architectures. Fully remote work with flexible schedules and choice of operating system.
