NVIDIA is searching for outstanding senior system software engineer to join the NVIDIA's SOC Linux display driver team. As part of this role, you will play a crucial role in developing performant and scalable GPU system software for the SOCs. The best candidates will have very strong experience developing Graphics Linux Kernel Drivers with emphasis on Computer Architecture and OS fundamentals. Join us to tackle complex system software challenges to build next generation NVIDIA platforms. What you'll be doing: Improve existing software by debugging, analyzing, and providing solutions to complex issues related to display technologies. Define, design, develop, test and maintain kernel drivers and embedded firmwares with a focus on performance, security, scalability and user experience. Get to craft, develop, unit test, document and maintain features for NVIDIA GPUs and Tegra SoCs. Collaborate with forward-thinking and motivated engineers around the world as an equal member of a multi-site team. You will influence hardware architecture and system software by creating architecture and design specifications. What we need to see: 10+ years of "hands on" experience developing system software and graphics drivers for the Linux based operating systems. BS or MS degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Detailed knowledge of Linux kernel internals and low-level system programming. Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems design, memory management, concurrency and device drivers. Outstanding C programming and low-level driver experience. Strong communication, interpersonal and planning skills. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Detailed knowledge of Linux Kernel's DRM subsystem and hands-on experience with KMS and DRM memory management. Experience with display standards such as HDMI, Display Port etc. Experience in pre-silicon, bring-up and post-silicon phases of sophisticated chips.
